How often should I rescan my store?
Rescan whenever you add new products, collections, or blog posts. With automation enabled, the app will automatically scan and optimize new images based on your schedule (daily or weekly depending on your plan).
How long does a full store scan take?
Scan time depends on your store size:
- Small stores (< 100 products): 10-30 seconds
- Medium stores (100-500 products): 30-90 seconds
- Large stores (500-2000 products): 1-3 minutes
- Very large stores (2000+ products): 3-10 minutes
The app shows real-time progress during scanning, and you can navigate away - scans continue in the background.

Which optimization method should I use?
We strongly recommend AI Optimize for best results because it:

🔄 Operations & Processing
Can I exit the app while AI optimization is processing?
Yes, you can safely exit the app while optimization is processing. Each batch is sent to the server and processed independently. When you return, refresh the page to see updated results.
Can I start a second batch while the first batch is still processing?
Yes, you can start multiple batches. Our system automatically handles global concurrency control to prevent API rate limits and smart retry mechanisms for reliability.
How do I verify that images were successfully optimized?
In Shopify Admin:
- Navigate to Products, Collections, or Blog Posts
- Find the item containing the optimized image
- Check the alt text field in the media section
In Max AI app:
- Green "Optimized" badge in Alt Status column
- New alt text displayed
- Entry in Dashboard's Optimization History
💰 Billing & Plans
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
If you upgrade:
- Charged the price difference, prorated for remaining days
- Immediately receive the full monthly quota of the new plan
If you downgrade:
- Shopify issues a prorated credit for unused portion
- You will NOT be charged extra if you've already used more than the new plan's quota
- Next month, quota resets to new plan's limits
Which quota is consumed first - plan quota or Pay-As-You-Go credits?
Plan quota is always consumed first. Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) credits are only used when your monthly plan quota is exhausted.
Important: PAYG credits never expire, so unused credits carry over indefinitely!
Can I try the app before committing to a paid plan?
Yes! The Lite plan is completely free and includes:

What are Variables in Dynamic Format?
Variables are your store's basic information - the data you entered when creating products, collections, and blog posts:

What does the Reset button do? Will it clear my optimized alt text?
No, Reset is completely safe! The Reset button only clears the scan results displayed in this app - it does NOT modify or delete any alt text in your Shopify store. All your optimized alt text remains intact.
Why can't I scan blog inline images, theme images, or page images?
Due to Shopify API limitations, we cannot provide optimal optimization for these image types. Shopify's API does not support efficient bulk updates for blog inline, theme, or page images. We focus on product, collection, and blog featured images where we can deliver excellent results.
